August round up

August round up

The hedgerows are laden with blackberries and the shorter evenings are bathed in golden sunshine. Autumn is quietly peeking round the corner - and we’re secretly a bit excited about dusting off the big jumpers again 🍂.

This was our very first summer as a proper grown-up company. We spent a myriad of hours behind our food stall, swapping food tips and explaining fermentation to anyone and everyone! Over 3,000 sample pots later, we've learnt a lot and met so many wonderful customers along the way. In these 'online days', it feels like a privilege to to meet you all in person.

We also dipped our toes into the street food world, proving that healthy food doesn’t have to be boring. Our gluten-free corn dogs went down a storm, topped with our ferments and homemade sauces:

  • Kimchi dog – bulgogi BBQ sauce + vegan Kewpie mayo

  • Sauerkraut dog – tomato & fennel ketchup + sweet mustard

  • Sauerbeet dog – Kewpie mayo + date & apple ketchup

Here's one happy customer giving feedback on our dogs!

So after a whirlwind summer, we’re enjoying the idea of the slower sway of early autumn and some breathing space to cook up what’s next.

We’re sketching out our 2026 calendar now, and we’d love your steer. If you've got a market, food festival or gathering near you where you think we’d slot in nicely, please give us a shout — we’d love to bring the ferments to your patch. Email us hello@culturafood.co.uk.
